The ingredients needed to make Chicken Tikka Masala:

  13. Take 3 tablespoons oil
  14. Make ready 1 large onion, finely chopped
  15. Make ready 2 tablespoons minced ginger
  16. Make ready 8 cloves garlic, minced
  17. Make ready 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  18. Prepare 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
  19. Get 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  20. Prepare 2 teaspoons paprika
  21. Get 2 teaspoons chili powder
  22. Take 2 teaspoons garam masala
  23. Get 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  24. Make ready 1 Large Tin Chopped tomatoes
  25. Prepare 300 ml
  26. Prepare water
  27. Prepare 250 ml Double cream
  28. Get fresh coriander Leaves to serve
Instructions to make Chicken Tikka Masala:
  1. Slice the chicken into cubes. Then add the chicken with the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, salt, cumin, garam masala, and paprika and stir until well-coated. Cover with Cling Film and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
  2. Preheat the oven to 260°C. Line a high-sided baking pan or roasting tray with parchment paper. Place the marinated chicken pieces on a wire rack over a baking tin so that the heat can go around all the chicken without needing to turn. Bake for 15 mins or until the edges start to brown.
  3. At the same time Make the sauce: Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat, then sauté the onions, ginger, and garlic until tender but not browned. Add the cumin, turmeric, coriander, paprika, chili powder, and garam masala and stir constantly for about 30 seconds, until the spices are fragrant. Stir in the tomato puree, tomato sauce, and 1 ¼ cups of water, then bring to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes. I quickly blitz with a stand mixer (optional) Pour in the cream.
  4. Remove The chicken from the Oven and put into sauce. Cook for 2 more mins then serve with some fresh coriander. Eat with my homemade Naan (see other recipe) WOW!!!!!!!
  5. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
