The ingredients needed to make Swiss Steak:
  1. Get 2 lb top round steak, tenderized
  2. Prepare 1 cup onion
  3. Take 1/2 cup carrot, diced
  4. Get 1/2 cup celery, diced
  5. Prepare 2 tsp garlic, minced
  6. Get 2 tbsp tomatoe paste
  7. Prepare 1/2 cup brandy
  8. Get 1 1/2 cup fzn pearl onion
  9. Get 1 can tomatoes, diced 28 oz
  10. Get 1 cup chicken broth
  11. Get 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  12. Prepare 2 tsp paprika
Steps to make Swiss Steak:
  1. Preheat oven to 325
  2. Dredge steak in flour, sear in veg oil until browned
  3. Remove steak, add 2 T oil, reduce heat
  4. Stir in onion, carrot, celery, garlic; saute 2 min
  5. Add tomatoe paste, cook 1 min
  6. Deglaze w brandy and simmer until nearly evaporated
  7. Add pearl onions, tomatoes, broth, Worcestershire, paprika.
  8. Return steak to pot submerged in liquds. Cover, brause in oven hunter tender, apx 1 hr
  9. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
