  1. Soak the lentils in adequate water 30 minutes to an hour prior to cooking and wash the chopped veggies
  2. Heat 2 tbspn oil in a pan and add the onions
  3. Add the ginger garlic paste and dhanshak masala
  4. Sauté on medium heat until onions are slightly softened and brown. Take off heat
  5. Now heat the remaining oil in a pressure cooker
  6. Reduce heat to medium and add the chicken pieces and lentils
  7. Stir for 2 minutes before adding the veggies, salt and sautéed onion
  8. Add 2 cups of hot water and pressure cook until lentils are softened
  9. Then after releasing the steam, open the cooker and mix the contents well
  10. Take off the chicken pieces and mash the remaining contents well
  11. Next add the chicken pieces and give it all a good mix for 2-3 minutes on Low heat
  12. Chicken dhanshak is ready to be served
  13. Transfer the curry to a serving bowl and garnish with dry fenugreek leaves
  14. Enjoy with flat breads or rice
  15. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
